Landscape as terrain for restlessness and connection

Through experimental processes in paint and print, the work uses landscape as an emotional and symbolic terrain, one used to explore restlessness, impermanence, and connection. A significant part of the practice is spent working and reworking the qualities, processes, and material language of print and paint, testing media and method until they articulate an internal restlessness that shapes the emotional landscape underneath each piece.

Grounded, earthy, and organic forms, mountains, trees, roots, sit alongside transient and mutable elements: cloud, water, light. Together these forms become markers of coexistence, connection, and possibility.

The practice grew from an unlikely starting point: a self-taught path out of a background in mathematical sciences and software engineering, where an early fascination with chaos inside structure, and structure inside chaos, never quite left. That fascination now surfaces in oil landscapes and skyscapes, in the textures pulled from screen-printing experiments with fluids and detergents, and in layered monoprint work that has, most recently, turned toward the built and dissolving forms of icebergs.
